Health Enhanced by Art 2020 (HEArt Journal)

Online Medical School

Art Description

Cascade, MT - Hovering over a remote mountaintop in the wilderness of Montana, the 40th Helicopter Squadron Search and Rescue Team from Malmstrom Air Force Base hoists a patient on to a UH-1N helicopter. This photo shows the OMS-II student holding the tagline to carefully guide a rescue litter into the aircraft bay door. Online courses and suspended in-person training allowed the ATSU-SOMA student and US Navy Officer to volunteer in both deployed and clinical settings at the peak of the pandemic for the benefit of the community.
