This is a typical morning in the neonatal intensive care unit; a life my daughter and I lived for 90 long and terrifying days.

Rebecca Fryer is a fourth year Osteopathic Medical student at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. She earned her bachelors of science in biochemistry and masters in public health at the University of Missouri- Columbia before attending medical school. Student Doctor Fryer was selected as one of the Osteopathic and Anatomy teaching fellows for the 2019-2020 academic school year. During her time as a teaching fellowing, Rebecca gave birth to her first child. This baby was born weighing less than two pounds and spent three months in the neonatal intensive care unit. Mother and baby are doing well and anxiously anticipating graduation this May.
