A brief poem to inspire Osteopaths and portray the ways in which our profession stands out from others in the healthcare field.
Artist: Shayan Memar, KCOM
Shayan Memar received his B.S. in biomedical engineering and his M.S. in anatomy at Saint Louis University. He is currently an OMS-III at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Shayan stays involved as a leader on campus and in the community by having held executive positions in clubs to creating service sites for ATSU-KCOM students to volunteer throughout the year. He is also engaged in research and education while serving as an Academic Fellow in Anatomy. In the little free time he has, Shayan enjoys staying in touch with his creative and artistic side, which ranges from writing poetry, curating music playlists, and making elegant creme brûlée desserts.
