Art Description
This poem was written in honor of my mother, Lillie Vendetta (Jackson) Smith after a lengthy eight-year battle with Alzheimer Disease. After my mother's death I needed a way to express all of the myriad emotions associated with caring for, loving, and losing the patient. I searched for words eloquent enough to convey my message and then decided that simplicity was the best expression, hence, I wrote "Alzheimer's."
