CGHS students should ensure they have Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, (all parts of the Microsoft Office applications) and Adobe Reader to accomplish their academic tasks.
Unless otherwise specified in the assignment instructions, student submissions should use these commonly-used formats (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .pdf). Assignments created in other formats will not be accepted.
If you do not have Microsoft Office, please contact the ITS Help Desk (see above) for options and discounts. In addition, students should be able to navigate the Canvas LMS, copy/paste text and images, attach files, use email, and participate in web conferencing. Links to download Adobe Reader and Java (a programming language that may be used in some courses) are shown below:

BeeLine Reader is a Chrome extension that can make online reading faster and easier.
To be successful in your ATSU-CGHS courses, you should have some basic technical skills. If you are not sure how to do some of these things, an internet search will yield detailed instructions, often in both written and video formats. Choose whatever works best to explain the concepts to you.

In addition, you will need to have or develop some basic digital literacy skills. Some of these skills will be taught in your courses, but you may want to do some initial investigation and learning on your own.

If you do encounter the new "Firefox has prevented this unsafe plugin from running..." prompt, choose "Allow and Remember." Clicking "Allow and Remember" places the URL of your course on an internal whitelist in your browser.
