Academic Advising

The CGHS Academic Advising team is dedicated to your success. Our advisors are readily accessible and available to help students chart their academic journeys. Advisors can:

  • Respond to student questions about their program and strategies to excel within online education.
  • Listen to and direct students to solutions.
  • Assist students in developing strategies and action plans that help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Update Academic Degree Plans (ADPs) as necessary.
  • Keep students updated and informed about policies, deadlines, and services.

During a given quarter, you may receive phone calls and e-mail from the Academic Advising Department for the following reasons:

  • To welcome you to class and ensure you have your books.
  • To follow up if your academic performance has declined.
  • To follow up with you if your faculty member has expressed concerns.
  • To congratulate you on a great week!

If you receive a phone message from the department or you have questions and concerns about your academic success or future, please contact them as soon as possible. They are here to help!
