Some courses require training on the protection of human subjects in research. A.T. Still University has an institutional subscription to CITI training, allowing students to complete courses that fulfill the training requirement.
To register:
- Go to https://about.citiprogram.org/en/homepage/.
- Select Register at the top of the page.
- Select the Select Your Organization Affiliation button.
- Type "A.T. Still" in the search box, and choose A.T. Still University-Kirksville, Missouri.
- Check the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Check the box to affirm that you are an affiliate of A.T. Still University-Kirksville, Missouri.
- Select the Create a CITI Program account button.
- Enter your information. Select the Continue to Step 3 button.
- Create your User Name, password, and security information. Select the Continue to Step 4 button.
- Select your country. Select the Continue to Step 5 button.
- Answer all questions on the page. CE credits/units are not required for course training completion, but you can choose the CE option if you would like to have CE for your current job. Select the Continue to Step 6 button.
- Enter all information about A.T. Still University. For department, enter College of Graduate Health Studies. For Role in Research, choose Student Researcher-Graduate level. Enter any other information you choose. Select the Continue to Step 7 button.
- Choose the level of Human Subjects Research.
- In Question 1, choose Biomedical Research Investigators.
- In Question 2, choose Not at this time. (Note: you can choose to take one, if you so desire)
- In Question 3, choose Not at this time.
- In Question 4, choose I am not required to complete the IPS course at this time. (Note: you can choose to take one, if you so desire)
- In Question 5, choose Not at this time.
- Select the Complete Registration button.
- Select the Finalize Registration button.
Once you have registered, you should have in your Main Menu / My Courses the Biomedical Research Basic/Refresher course listed. (You may have to select the View Courses button.) Select the course and complete the training, which should be 17 modules.
If your instructor requires a different course or series of courses:
- In the Main Menu/My Courses. under the A.T. Still University-Kirksville Missouri Courses section, choose Add a Course.
- Select the courses and options required for your course.
- Click on Submit to register for those courses.
