CGHS Instructor Resources (Canvas)

Professional Record

All professional records should be maintained with current information in IRMA. Items must be added or individually in the appropriate section in the Record section.

A current CV needs to be provided each academic year. This can be emailed to Debbie Frazier, Beth Thompson, or CGHS Designers.

Website Photo

As many faculty do not live near the various A.T. Still University campuses, it is the faculty's responsibility to provide a photo for the ATSU website. The headshot photo must be:

  • high quality
  • in focus
  • minimum size of 600 pixels and 120 dpi
  • on a professional background (e.g., solid background, no one else in the photo, nothing else in the photo)

Please send any updated photos to communications@atsu.edu with the email subject line "Headshot for Web Profile". Once they approve the photo it will be uploaded to the ATSU website.

Digital Measures

Digital Measures is a system ATSU is using to track and report faculty activity.  In addition, ATSU is working on possibly integrating the information in Digital Measures into the ATSU web site.

What do CGHS faculty need to do?

CGHS faculty should continue to add and edit their professional record in IRMA.  CGHS staff will then add the faculty’s information into Digital Measures into the appropriate sections. This ensures that data is entered properly in both systems for CGHS and ATSU data reporting purposes.

The only item CGHS faculty must complete in Digital Measures is the Consent and Acknowledgement section.

Web Bio

If the Digital Measures/ATSU website integration occurs, each faculty will need to provide a web bio.  Your web bio should include:

  • Name and credentials/degrees in the first sentence
  • Year joined ATSU CGHS (e.g., began at CGHS in July, 2010).
  • Research interests
  • Abbreviated work experience
  • Something personal (e.g., hobbies)

The bio must:

  • Be 1 short paragraph (1000 characters or less)
  • Meet the ATSU Copywriting style guide requirements
  • Be written in 3rd person
  • Not contain lists/bulleted items.

To enter your web bio in IRMA:

  • In IRMA, select the Record button.
  • In Choose Item, use the drop-down to scroll to the last item (Edit Web Bio). Click OK.
  • Type in your web bio or you can paste in from Word.
  • Click on Save Record.

Once your bio has been entered:

  • Your program chair will review the bio to make sure it meets any programmatic guidelines.
  • The Dean or Associate Dean will review the bio to make sure it meets CGHS and ATSU guidelines.
  • CGHS staff will enter the bio in Digital Measures and coordinate with the Digital Measures group and/or Communications and Marketing to update the ATSU website.

Example:
Jason Salas, M.A.Ed., began as an instructional designer for the College of Graduate Health Studies in May 2019. Jason's research interests include the relationship between learning and work and adult learning theory. Jason has led diverse learners in K-12 settings and has held educator roles in the corporate sector, first as a training specialist in the banking industry and then as an instructional designer for a global healthcare IT company. In addition to dining out with his wife, Jessica, and conducting learning experiments on their four children (a.k.a., helping them with their homework), Jason enjoys life outdoors on the family farm.
