The Black List - 2025 NRDC Climate Storytelling Fellowship

The Black List is thrilled to announce that it has partnered with NRDC’s (Natural Resources Defense Council) Rewrite the Future program, The Redford Center, The CAA (Creative Artists Agency) Foundation, and NBC Universal to launch the fourth annual NRDC Climate Storytelling Fellowship.

The Fellowship will grant $20,000 each to three writers (or writing teams) to support revision of a feature screenplay or pilot that engages with climate change in a compelling way through events, actions, character, emotions, plot, and/or setting.

Environmental Protection Agency - Research Fellowship in Understanding how Ecosystems, Goods, and Services Connect to Human Health

Grist - Environmental Journalism Fellowship

The Grist Fellowship Program is a paid opportunity to hone your skills at a national news outlet and deepen your understanding of environmental issues. The experience is designed to give early-career journalists with a demonstrated interest in environmental issues the experience to succeed in climate and environmental media. We offer real-world experience at a fast-paced news site, training in a variety of skills key to a journalism career, and exposure to the leading sustainability thinkers and theories of our time.

National Environmental Health Association - National Environmental Public Health Internship Program (NEPHIP)

The Climatebase Fellowship

Climatebase Fellows join with a wide range of personal and professional goals, from landing their first job in climate, to career advancement, furthering their education, gaining experience by working on projects, or even launching their own ventures.

The Climatebase Fellowship combines a 12-week industry-oriented educational program and ongoing community membership throughout the year. Access expert guest speaker sessions, career support, project-based work, and a supportive network of highly talented peers.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - Tri-institute Climate and Human Health Physician Fellowship

The Climate and Human Health Fellowship trains physicians to become leaders in climate and human health research, education, communication, and advocacy. The fellowship program is offered through a collaboration between Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard C-CHANGE, and the Harvard FXB Center for Health and Human Rights.

Fellows participate in core fellowship didactics, develop an area of individual focus, engage in original academic research, and receive mentorship from leaders in the field.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) - Climate Justice Fellowship

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will provide professional development training/mentoring for year-long, full-time fellowships, for individuals from priority populations, to work within organizations and businesses that advance climate justice and clean energy priorities for disadvantaged communities. California Climate Action Corps (CCAC) (Americorps California)

The California Climate Action Corps Fellowship places fellows with host partners throughout the state, principally in underserved communities. Fellows serve 1,700 hours over an 11-month term to mobilize their communities through climate volunteer engagement, climate action and education projects focused on urban greening, organic waste and edible food recovery, and wildfire resiliency.

Our Climate's Fellowship

Our Climate’s Fellowship is a structured program in which participants organize their peers, engage the media, collaborate with partner organizations and coalition members, and meet with elected officials to advance science-based and equitable climate policies in key states around the country. Smithsonian - Environmental Justice (research) Fellowship

Through the Environmental Justice Fellowship, the Smithsonian seeks to support up to five fellows as they conduct independent research in the spirit of environmental justice. These fellows will be able to leverage the Smithsonian’s resources, including its researchers, collections, exhibits, and data sets, to advance environmental justice and equity in the face of climate change.

Fellows will be hosted by a Smithsonian museum or research center, and fellows must identify an advisor from one of these units. We encourage applicants to identify a second advisor from another Smithsonian museum or research center to foster cross-institutional collaboration.

The Medical Consortium on Climate and Health - Climate and Health Equity Fellowship (CHEF)
