Game Lending

The Library has a small collection of board games that is available for ATSU use in the library or for check out for one week at a time. 

Lending Period 1 week, with renewal available on request 
Location in the Library The games are on the left side of the anatomical model shelving.
Rules for Use in the Library Play games in the open group study area or in study rooms on the first floor. Please be courteous of those studying around you.
Lost Games You may either supply the library with a new replacement copy of the same game, or pay replacement costs plus a processing fee of $20.

Special Note: The Dysfunctional Dice games cannot leave the library, but are available for use in the group study room area.

Each of these games was selected in response to recommendation or request. Some are educational; some are for fun.

Image of Bad Doctor game Bad Doctor 1 Central City Medical Center is an overcrowded and understaffed hospital. As an overworked doctor in this terribly understaffed facility, your job is to keep patients alive until your shift ends. As you make your rounds during your shift, make sure you visit as many patients as you can or risk them kicking the bucket while you're in charge. If you're a good enough doc you might even cure someone and take credit for saving a life! But sometimes treating a patient can actually cause complications future doctors might have to deal with - that's their problem once you're off the clock! Work your way to victory and the fame that comes with being known as Central City's best Bad Doctor!

Image of Compounded game Compounded: Better Gaming Through Chemistry 1 Compounded is a game about building chemical compounds through careful management of elements, a fair bit of social play and trading, and just a bit of luck. Players are able to freely trade elements, laboratory tools, and even favors – if there is truly honor among chemists!
Image of Cytosis game Cytosis: a Cell Biology Game 1 Cytosis: A Cell Biology Game, is a worker placement game that takes place inside a human cell! Players take turns placing workers on available organelles within a human cell in order to collect resources (such as Carbohydrates or ATP!) or take actions (such as purchasing Cell Component cards or translating mRNA into Proteins!)

The object of the game is to lead your team of doctors and nurses to successfully “treat” patients.

Consult Dr Bleauphardt the Gastroenterologist to cure diarrhea. Ask Dr Oops the Surgeon to operate on a hot appendix, or Dr Knowitall the Medical Doctor to cogitate about diabetes – that is, IF they’re on call. Don’t forget about the powers of the Super Nurse, and always beware the Grim Reaper!

Image of Organ Attack game Organ Attack! : a Game of Medical Maladies 1 It's the family friendly game of organ harvesting! The object of Organ ATTACK is to remove your opponents' organs before they remove yours. The last person to still have at least one organ is the winner! Use related afflictions to attack your opponents (for example, playing Gallstones on Gallbladder or Thyroiditis on Thyroid). The game requires absolutely no medical knowledge and only takes about one round to learn.

As skilled members of a disease fighting team, you and the other players work together to keep the world safe from outbreaks and epidemics.  Pandemic is a cooperative board game in which players work as a team to treat infections around the world while gathering resources for cures.

Note: Requires Pandemic as the base game. Please do not mix up the cards.

In the second expansion for Pandemic, you will use a new game board that allows you to move the pawns in a laboratory. The goal of this activity is the same as in the base game – finding cures for diseases – but this time in a new way. Behind sealed bio-hazard doors, scientists race against time to sequence diseases, take samples and test cures. Pandemic: In the Lab includes four new roles, new Virulent Strain events and a Worldwide Panic Mutation scenario. Players can compete individually or on rival teams (when playing with four or six players). Can your team work together in the lab to save humanity?.

Complete secret objectives and compete against other players, for example find the Patient Zero, take him to the Research Center and save the world while making sure your citizens don't get infected and turn Zombie. Or intentionally get some of your people infected and direct a zombie herd to your opponents’ towns to disrupt their plans.
