University Writing Center: CITATION & REFERENCING

APA 7

The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition, is THE authoritative guide that is required to be used by most ATSU students in their written coursework. We highly recommend that all students obtain a copy for personal use, as it provides comprehensive citation and referencing guidelines.

You may always purchase your APA Manual from the APA directly, from the campus bookstore, or from your preferred vendor of choice. However, if you are seeking an electronic version, you may wish to consider:

If you are in the process of completing a project for which you are still using APA 6th edition (i.e., dissertation, practicum, DRP, or ARP), you have the option to continue using APA 6 until the project is complete. APA 6 materials are still available on the UWC's old website. Students MUST indicate in their email message that their attachment is in APA 6 so it is reviewed appropriately; otherwise, it will be reviewed in APA 7.

AMA 11

ATSU students have access to the online version of the AMA Manual of StyleLogin by clicking on the icon in the upper right corner that looks like a head and then select "sign in through your institution."  Then scroll down to find "A.T. Still University." The next page will ask you to login to the ATSU portal.

The AMA Style Insider is another useful resource.
