What is OverDrive?

Libby is a new app released by OverDriv. Libby is a more user-friendly way to borrow and use digital collection

Overdrive is the name of Digital resources service that allows users to download audiobooks, ebooks, magazines, videos, music to use on your personal computer, you can also transfer to a compatible mobile device.

You may check out and download the following types of digital materials using Overdrive

  • OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks
  • Adobe® PDF eBooks                                                                   
  • Adobe® EPUB eBooks
  • Kindle eBooks
  • OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks


To access these digital materials you need…

  • A valid ATSU Username and Passwords
  • Internet access or a wireless connection
  • A computer or device that meets the system requirements for the digital materials
  • Free software for your computer or compatible device

 

Download and borrow an e-book or audiobook!  OverDrive will let you download (or read online) a book for 2 weeks, with renewal possible.  Use it on the web or via an app.

ATSU participates in the MOBIUS OverDrive shared collection with a number of other university libraries, giving you access to a wide range of fiction and non-fiction topics.  Use this for a broader range of academic resources and recreational reading or listening, enjoy ebooks and audiobooks through ATSU username and password.

 

Use it via the web

OverDrive
  1. Visit the MOBIUS OverDrive site
  2. Click Sign In OverDrive
  3. Select A.T. Still University - Missouri Campus
    1. Use this site for ALL ATSU students, staff, faculty, etc., regardless of school affiliation
  4. Enter your ATSU ID and password in the ATSU Portal Login screen, which should appear
  5. Find a book or audiobook and click on its cover
  6. Click Borrow
  7. Select the period you wish to borrow it - 7, 21, or 14 days
  8. Choose your preferred platform for reading - online, Kindle (if available), etc.

NOTE:  There are limited copies of each https://www.overdrive.com/book or audiobook available. If a book is already on loan, click the Hold link to be placed on its waiting list.

Use it via Libby, its mobile app

Libby by OverDrive
  1. Visit your preferred app store and find Libby, by OverDrive
    1. Ignore the app named OverDrive if it appears - this is a different, older app
  2. Install it
  3. When it asks if you have a library card, say Yes
  4. When it asks about your library, select Search for a Library
    1. Search for Still
    2. Select the MOBIUS Consortium : A.T. Still University - Missouri Campus option
  5. It will take you to the ATSU Portal Login screen - login as usual
    1. Your account is now linked to your app
  6. Find an interesting book or audiobook
  7. Tap to download, listen/read, or place a hold (if someone else has it)
  8. Read or listen to it from Libby
  9. Tap in the middle of the e-book screen to access its menu

NOTE:  There are limited copies of each book or audiobook available. If a book is already on loan, click the Hold link to be placed on its waiting list.

Audiobook Information

OverDrive includes a large number of audiobooks on assorted topics, both fiction and non-fiction.

Find and use them the same way you do e-books. They will be labeled with this symbol: audiobook icon

If you want to listen to an audiobook while driving or with limited access to wifi, be sure to download it to your device.

If you want to request that the Library try to add a new audiobook to the shared MOBIUS collection of OverDrive, please send its title and ISBN by email to the MO Library.

Search the collection

Search OverDrive eBooks. You'll need one of them the OverDrive or Libby app to read your eBooks. Libby is the most current app while but both are updated and supported. You can start step by step set up instruction on the Read in OverDrive or Read in Libby pages.
