Joint Grant Awards Program of the American Academy of Family Physicians FoundationThis funding opportunity of up to $50,000 supports "research of value to the practicing family physician," and preference will be given to new researchers and those who mentor and include new investigators on their research team. Additionally, PI must be an family medicine researcher (clinician or PhD) and PI or co-investigator must be an AAFP member.
The application deadline is January 9, 2018, with reviews conducted in May and November. Competition will likely be exceptionally keen given that only 3-4 awards are made annually. Nevertheless, this research grant program may be well suited to FM faculty, departments, and residency programs.
