Whitehall Foundation Bioscience Research Projects
Deadline for Letter of Intent: October 1
The Whitehall Foundation is a not-for-profit focused exclusively on assisting basic neurobiology research in the US. Current research interests: Invertebrate and vertebrate (excluding clinical) neurobiology, specifically investigations of neural mechanisms involved in sensory, motor, and other complex functions of the whole organism as these relate to behavior with an overall goal of better understanding behavioral output or brain mechanisms of behavior. The Foundation assists dynamic areas of basic biological research not heavily supported by federal agencies/other foundations with specialized missions, and emphasizes supporting young early career scientists and productive senior scientists moving into new fields of interest. Consideration is given to applicants of all ages. The chief criteria for support are the quality and creativity of the research as well as the commitment of the PI (a minimum time allocation of 20% is required).
