Excel offers an Analysis ToolPak add-in. Although Excel offers basic functions for statisitcal analysis, you can find more advanced options in the Analysis ToolPak.
Microsoft offers an extensive overview of how to load the ToolPak and how to use each of its functions.
If you are looking for a free solution to analyzing your data, you can use some of the Google Spreadsheets Add-ons. If you do not already have your data in an Excel sheet, you should transfer it into one and then upload it to your google drive as a Google Spreadsheet. A huge advantage to Google Sheets is that you can share or protect your data as necessary. The Google drive will store your data in the cloud so you can access it anywhere.
XLMiner allows you to perform the statistical analysis on data sets that you can perform in Excel.
Google Analytics allows you to create reports, and run reports. It also can interface with your calendar to schedule reports. Google analytics also can help with data visualization and creating dashboards.
Qualtrics is a rather versatile data management software that interfaces with university-wide big data as well as individual assignment or course level data. It interfaces with Canvas, Microsoft Office and email. Qualtrics also can convert your data in to a wide range of visuals. Although Qualtrics is best known for its survey features, it supports quizzing, polling and research data collection.

Tk20 helps to streamline data collection, analytics and reporting on a university and classroom level. Tk20 focuses primarily on reporting and analyzing data from your LMS (learning management system .... think Blackboard or Canvas). This software can help you track student learning and course evaluations.

REDCap is an Open Source secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases that can be used to collect virtually any type of data (including 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, and HIPAA-compliant environments) but is specifically geared to support online or offline data capture for research studies and operations. REDCap is used by thousands of active institutional partners in over one hundred countries who utilize and support REDCap in various ways, including ATSU. REDCap is available to ATSU students working with faculty mentors or advisors, and to ATSU faculty and staff.
