Creative Commons Licenses

Creative Commons licenses state what permissions the copyright holder or author will allow with their work.  It informs people what the creator will allow and will not allow.  There are several types of CC Licenses.

Credit must be given to the creator

Credit must be given to the creator
CC-BY-NC-SA Distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any format Non-commercial use only

CC-BY-ND Copy and Distribute the material in any format in unadapted form only
Commercial Use
Credit must be given to the creator
No derivatives or adaptations of the work are permitted
CC-BY-NC-ND Copy and Distribute the material in any format in unadapted form only Non-commercial use only
Credit must be given to the creator
No derivatives or adaptations of the work are permitted
