- "The True Test Authentic Assessment"Looking for a way to modify or create assessments that better evaluate your students’ ability to apply knowledge or perform tasks that are reflective of a real-world setting? Bob McMullen, EdD, PA-C and the Teaching and Learning Center created a hands-on, interactive workshop focused on the theory and application of meaningful and authentic assessment. Faculty had an opportunity to brainstorm and discuss with colleagues across disciplines the differences between a traditional and an authentic task. Participants examined a variety of activities to determine the level of authenticity and how those activities might be modified to create more meaningful experiences for students.
