Check It Out 4th Issue: From The

From the University Librarian

It has been over two months since we introduced our new Still OneSearch discovery tool and began the redesign of our web site around OneSearch.  For years students and faculty have been asking us for a way to search all of our resources with a single search box.  OneSearch finally enabled us to accomplish this.  Our initial feedback has been very positive but we have not heard from enough people.  If you like it and the web site redesign or hate it or have any suggestions or any complaints please let us know.  Call or send us an e-mail or stop us in the hall or communicate in any way you are comfortable with!  We have built the Library’s collections and services and search tools to help you, not because want to research clinical or practice related topics or any other research purpose so we want to hear from you.

A lot has changed in the three years since the Learning Resource Center on the Mesa Campus and the A T Still Memorial Library on the Kirksville were combined into the University wide AT Still Memorial Library.  I have put together a State of the Library – 2014 presentation reviewing all that we have accomplished.  Library staff will setting up times to present this brief overview to the faculty at departmental and program faculty meeting.  We will also give a quick review of Still OneSearch and where the Library is going from here. So watch for it coming to your faculty meeting in the next month or two.

The Library provides you access to a number platforms where you can earn CME/CE.  We have a page in this edition of Check-It-Out describing the difference CME/CE opportunities with descriptions on how to take advantage of them to earn credit.  So if you are interested Check-It-Out!
